Hey everybody, this is a fast video on free stuff for you. Our motives, pricing changes for presenters, pre and post conference announcements, and a couple more things. We'll put the free stuff for you at the end. First, applications to be a pre and post conference presenter are going out this week. We separated them from pre and post from the regular conference application for reasons I won't get into right now. But you'll be seeing a application for pre and post only very soon, like in the next day or two. Last year we did it by invitation only. We're not doing that year. We just wanted to try things. So I want to go through a couple quick news things and updates things. And by the way, we've now created a VIP list.
00:45
So we have so many notes and I don't like to send messages out to step on other conferences toes. So we've created a VIP list just for email announcements. It's not anything else at this time. But the idea is if you want to make sure you're getting our messages, sign up for that. We'll put a link down below. Also down below we'll put a link to sign up to be a pre and post conference presenter. Last year we had it separate. This year or last year we did invite. Only this year we're having it be separate. So we'll put that link. We'll put a link to be a VIP member to find out about announcements. Like, I know what it's like to be a clinician. I know what it's like to be a hypnotist. See private practice clients.
01:22
I know what it's like to build a private practice from scratch. And I know what it's like to be broke. I know what it's like to go through economic downturns when you're trying to build your client list. And it sucks and it's hard. And that's why Stephanie and I have made a decision a while ago that we've been doing and we've been doing it quietly, but it's time to let you know and just kind of call it out. We have not raised prices since 2019. Like, our costs have gone up considerably, but we've made sure to keep our prices consistent for all of you because of what I just said about knowing what it's like to be a person who just wants to help others and we want to support those people.
02:06
And so we've been absorbing the cost as our costs have gone up. I mean, some of you remember the last year we got to the Orleans, we showed up and they were like, hey, you owe us 20% more money than the contract says. And I was like, what do you mean? We paid you what the contract says? They're like, yep, you got to give us 20% more money or the conference is shut down. It was rough. It was just a 20% day of increase. Our costs have gone up more than 50%. In fact, since we started the conference, our costs have doubled more, a lot more. But since 2019, our costs have gone up over 50%. And we've absorbed it because we want to support the people in this community who need that.
02:45
And that's also why we've always had the price below and increase over time, so people can get a lower price if they need it. But we need to do something else because, simply put, Stephanie and I can't continue to absorb these increased costs and create a conference that we're all this excited about. So I used to do a lot of showing, like spreadsheets and whiteboards and showing numbers. And if you guys want that, say so down in the comments below. And we'll do another video with transparency that actually shows the hard math and how we're making decisions. And I'm happy to do it. But here's what we have decided to do. We decided that starting this year, presenters are going to pay only their hard costs. And that comes out to about $200. So there's other things.
03:28
There's like our appetizers and thank you dinners and drinks and things like that aren't included in that. This is just like the core base costs that we spend on every presenter. So every presenter costs us about $200. And there's about 175 percenters. So you can see how charging someone 333 for their ticket means they paid for themselves and one presenter. And there's no profit there. There's just no profit when you have a presenter and a 333 person. And so there's a lot of costs that go into putting the conference on that we need to be able to afford. And so we've been looking for ways to do it. I don't feel right charging attendees a higher price during this economic environment. I just don't. And so what we've decided to do is have the presenters pay their way.
04:26
So they're not paying for their full ticket. They are getting a discount. And let me be clear about that. So there's the whole conference price and then there's what it costs us. What it costs us is what the presenters are going to be paying, so they're just going to pay what we put out to have them there. All the other costs to put on the rest of the conference, we are going to be giving that to the presenters for the sake of them presenting. We think that's the reasonable, fair way to do it, all things considered. We are also happy to have conversations about this and get your feedback given. Like our model of community, I think it is the thing that makes the most sense. Given our model for how we are supporting each other, I think it makes the most sense.
05:13
And any other change would be a pretty fundamental change to the social contract of equality at the conference. And so if we need to address that and change things so that presenters don't pay but are on a higher echelon and then presenters are on a lower echelon because they do pay, like, we can come up with stuff like that, but I don't want to do any of that this year. In fact, I don't want to do it at all. But we'll listen and we'll try and we'll experiment like we always do. And this year the experiment is presenters pay. Last thing before we get into what's in it for you in terms of free stuff? Like I said, I'm a clinician too.
05:51
Like, I built my private practice from scratch and I know what it's like to not have enough money to pay for office rent and food. I know what it's like to be living client check to client check and hoping you don't have any no shows this week because you need the money. I know what it's like to be devastated by a no show who you didn't have pay in advance, so you just don't get the money. And you were like, man, I needed that. I know what that's like. And that's why one of the things that we're trying to do here is make sure we're providing as much value for you for the price you're already paying without adding stuff. So, by the way, we now have a VIP list. It's just an email list.
06:32
It's not going to give you anything extra at the moment. It's just to make sure you know about our stuff so that when we're talking about stuff, you're not going to be like, I don't want to send it to people unless they want it. And so we've created the VIP list for them to get that. So they get like, anytime we're adding more content to 365, they'll know about it anytime we're having another summit, like we're about to. And I'll come back to that in a second. You'll know about it. You know, when were adding content, you'll know about it. Discounts, you'll know about it. And so we'll put a link for that. We'll put also a link for Lester's class, the Viral Hypnotist Summit.
07:04
I did the AI class so people could learn how to use like, ChatGPT and things like that a little while ago. Now we're doing a class for people who want to learn viral marketing. So. So you can see how we're putting together classes that aren't learn how to hypnotize people. It's learn stuff in the profession that's going to help you get more clients. And those are included inside of 365. So that again, value for the money, we're charging way less than anybody else for, like a community. We're not charging for, like chat rooms and social stuff. We're just sharing the content because the other places have those and our Facebook group has that. So we're just trying to give you guys the best bang for the buck everywhere we can. Thank you for watching this. I hope you guys are doing well.
07:49
I know the world is weird right now, and so I just kind of want to check in with you and hope you're. You're doing okay. I am. And yeah. So stay tuned for the Lester video. Oh, last thing. I forgot to mention this. If you sign up for hypnothoughts Live, this is the free stuff. So I almost forgot to tell you about the free stuff we're giving you. Trick or treat. We used to do a trick or treat. Let's bring it back. If you sign up for hypnothoughts live before Halloween, you get 10 MP3s for free. 10 MP3s to anybody who has signed up for the conference before Halloween. If you signed up at the conference, that was before Halloween. So you get it. We're always retroactive in our bonuses to encourage people to sign up now. So.
08:32
So we'll do something for Thanksgiving, but right now we're doing something for Halloween. And if you do the Halloween one, you automatically get the Thanksgiving one too. So your bonuses stack the sooner you sign up, so cheaper price stacking bonuses. That's how we provide value and that's how we support you. So go to htlive.net and sign up for the conference. We have a payment plan so that you can spread that out and take care of yourself. This is what we're trying to do for you. Let me know if you have any questions, links and details below. Have a good one.
