Hey, everybody, it's Scott Sandland from HypnoThoughts Live. I am standing in a space that looks like a zoom background, but it's my actual house. But it does look like a zoom background, doesn't it? I don't know why the camera is doing that. I've got things to cover. The first thing is going to be about money. The next two things are going to be out about conference schedule. Let's start with your money and whether you're a presenter or an attendee. This is true. We understand what's going on in the economy and prices go up January 1st at HypnoThoughts Live. And many of you understand this because you guys have been around for a long time, but some of you are new and I want to make sure that everybody understands this. So our pricing plan starts very cheap and ends kind of expensive.

00:42

I think it's still actually a good value, but it's, you know, it's twice the starting price, you know, so the conference goes up 2x in value from earlier bird to at the door at the conference. And the reason we do that is a couple fold. The first is because if you give us money early, that means we have your money to use to build the conference. So we have it in our pocket to spend. We're not waiting and hoping we get the money. I think that makes sense. The other reason is because I know what it's like to be in private practice. See, some of you guys don't know this. I was in private practice for 20 something years and I know what it's like to build a private practice from scratch.

01:19

I and I got to the point where I was seeing 30 clients a week and I was doing, you know, as many groups as I wanted and I was busy and full and turning clients away with a waiting list. But it doesn't start that way. And I know what it's like to not be able to afford conferences. I know what it's like to be a volunteer, an attendee, or a presenter. And I know what it's like to do things to save money on the conferences because going to hypnosis conferences impacted my career so dramatically and improved my career so tremendously. That part of HypnoThoughts Live is paying that forward.

01:52

And so one of the things we do is we make the price as low as we can going into the conference and then a higher price at the end so that the people who are new, who are flexible, who are hungry, can get the early price and save their money. And then the busy people who are just trying to fit things in last minute because they got so much going on, they can afford to pay the higher price. And laziness costs money. If you procrastinate, you have to pay for it. And so that's how the conference works. But also in addition to that's what we've been doing for over 10 years. But I want to talk about what we've also been doing for the last five years. So for the last five years, we've been watching prices go up all around us.

02:30

Since COVID you know, one year, our prices went up 20% just on the food. The prices to put on the conference have gone up a lot. And that's why we've put so much effort into not raising prices. But on any of you. So we once again aren't raising prices this year. Now we have the same price tiers that we always have. So price goes up January 1st. Understand what I'm saying is we're not raising total ticket prices. Our ticket prices and our ticket increases are the same they've been for five years, even though inflation has made everything else more expensive, including our costs that we absorb. We just said, you know, the buck's got to stop somewhere. And so we decided, Stephanie and I said, we're going to hold the line for practitioners.

03:17

We're going to hold the line and we aren't going to raise those prices even though it cuts into our income. We're the ones who are going to take the stand on that. So we are doing that. And I'm saying that not to take a victory lap, but just all the transparency that we do, we want to make sure that everybody in this community knows how to, how this community works. So that is why we do the pricing the way we do. That is why we've made the choices to not raise prices. And that's why we chose to charge presenters for their own food this year, because presenters paying their own way makes it possible.

03:54

So presenters who have all been, by the way, with like the exception of like four or five, like very few, with the exception of just a couple, you guys have been so understanding of that change and I just want to extend the gratitude from Stephanie and I because we know it's a change. We also know it's becoming industry standard because the economics are forcing it. But we want to just say thank you because I know that's a change from us. So that's all that. Now let's get into the schedule. And again, transparency matters. The pre and post workshops have been up for about two days. Many of you guys have seen that.

04:28

Some of you guys have even started purchasing your pre and post conference workshops, which is a great idea with when you look at prices going up and so getting that early ticket, getting that discounted rate right now is a great idea. Also we have a payment plan. I'm not going to talk about it because I say things wrong. So check out the pre and post conference stuff. Great. The full schedule of the three days with the hundreds of talks, that is finished, terms of decisions, that is finished in terms of contracts now. And we have put everybody where they go, but it's quite ugly. So Stephanie and I have recently finished it and over the next couple days we're going to pretty it up. And once it's pretty and easily digestible visually, we're going to get that out to you next week as well.

05:17

So right around Christmas, like we always have, we'll have the pre and post conference out as well as the conference schedule. So, so you can look at all the talks. It's an overwhelming thing. You're going to look at it, you're going to start reading it, you're going to go cross eyed, you're going to stop looking at it by halfway through Saturday or you're going to look for a couple names and you're going to forget about it in like a month. That is okay, but look at it. Get excited. Look at what HypnoThoughts live. 2026 is going to be, that's part of next week. So be ready to look at that and just take a moment. I know this is the time of year. It tends to be right before New Year's resolutions.

05:52

Right during the holidays in general is a slow time for us hypnotherapists, practitioners, and that's because people are spending money on gifts for friends and alcohol for themselves to get through this window of time. And then January 1st rolls around and then they've been overeating and over drinking and they say, okay, now I need to go see a hypnotherapist to get all this taken care of and then you can be okay again. But during this little downtime, I'd like you to just, instead of panicking, just spend some time being intentional about what you want to do, not what you want to have happen. That's passive, that's reactive. What do you want to do to make 2026 better? What are you going to do in 2026 so that you are better at helping people? What are you doing in 2026 to make your practice grow?

06:37

Not I'm going to sign up for a class that's just, I'm going to opt into other people doing stuff for me. And that's good, you should do that. I'm going to join this. That's good, you should do that. But, but I'm not asking about any of that. I'm saying what effort are you going to relatively consistently put in? What change are you making? Reflect on 25 or 24 or 23 or even before. Look at your career, look at the way you help people and say what is it that I want to put effort into doing better or differently in 2026? Now's the time to do that. And it's not a resolution, it's not a fingers crossed hope. It's learning, it's commitments, it's your thoughts about your hypnosis practice. So I'd like to encourage you guys all to do that.

07:23

And if you come up with something great, maybe share it in the comments below. We'll put links to everything down there, but also maybe share encouragement with one another. What is it that you want to commit to? And maybe over the next couple weeks we'll create some sort of accountability program that helps each other. Not in a way that's punitive, but just in a way that like encourages all of us to create the businesses, careers and private practices we all want. So just an idea, you don't have to, but it might make it fun. And if you're not going to do that, or even if you are, I hope you have a great time with friends and family, loved ones and whoever's around you this holiday season.

08:02

You know, it's as the old saying goes, as the weather gets cold and the memories grow warm this time of year, it's a great opportunity just to be physically close with a couple people you love. And I hope you have that opportunity. I know I do. And I am grateful and thankful for it most days and over the next few I definitely will. And I'm thankful for so many of you really genuinely. There are so many of you who have impacted my life in many ways and I hope I can pay that back just a little bit to some of you. But to those of you who have been friends of mine this year and in years prior, thank you for your friendship. Thank you all for your support for Hypno Thoughts Live.

08:47

And on behalf of Stephanie and I, we will see you in 2026 for what's going to be a big conference full of big announcements, so stay tuned.
