Hey, everybody, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. This video is going to educate you on a whole bunch of hypnothoughts live stuff, including the schedule and the speaker contracts. I'll get to that in a minute before I do some quick announcements, but before I get to the quick announcements, like when prices go up, I want to say a quick thank you to a few people that are returning presenters who are not returning as presenters. We have a number of people. I said this a couple months ago, I said, hey, I don't want there to be like this hierarchy in the conference where like you show up as an attendee and then you become a practitioner and then you become a presenter and then you become a pre and post. And like, I don't want that to look like a progression of increased importance.
00:45
And so I made a video and I mentioned, hey, sometimes just showing up as an attendee and supporting those people and being part of the community is the best thing to be. So just because you've been a presenter before, I don't want you to feel pressure to have to present every time and make sure you've got new, cutting edge, state of the art stuff. Some years you can just come hang out. And I said that and some of you really did that and some wonderful presenters. You know, many years, pre conference workshops, keynotes, like people who we really respect a lot have said, hey, I'll be there this year, but I'm going to take a step back and just audit. And then we're just going to call it auditing. And some of you have chosen to audit.
01:25
And I just want to say thank you for doing that and being a supporter of the conference. Even when it's not about your name, which you're just, you're lovely and cool for doing that. Thank you. That's that. Now onto quick announcements. Number one, prices go up January 1st. We've been doing that for about a decade, so you probably know it, but prices do go up January 1st, which means two things. Number one, if you buy your ticket right now, it will be cheaper than if you buy it later. I think you figured that out. Second of all, if you buy your ticket now in December, you can write it off on this year's taxes instead of next year's taxes, so you can save money on it now instead of later.
01:59
You should also know that pre and post conference workshops are also discounted right now. So if you want to get a pre or post conference workshop and the conference right now, you're going to save hundreds of Dollars that you can just have and then get the tax write off also on top of that. So if you want to save hundreds of dollars, Please go to htlive.net and sign up for Hypnothoughts LIVE and take a look at the pre and post conference. Let's jump into that for a second. Pre and post conference. This year is killer. We knocked it down by about 50%. We got 23 down from 52. We have 23 first time or pre and post conference workshops. Excuse me, we have 23 pre and post conference workshops that are so good.
02:46
Go to our website htlive.net and take a look at the workshops. You're going to be overwhelmed with options and quality. 1 day, 2 day, 3 day, 4 day, whatever there is. There's stuff that's interesting for you. You might be overwhelmed. And so what we did was we invented an AI named Scout. Some of you saw this video. Scout is designed to have conversations with you about pre and post conference so that you can make better decisions. Scout is not Wikipedia. Scout is not Google. Scout is like a conversational assistant. And think of it as a okay intelligence guy who's been to every one of the workshops. That's a good way of thinking of it. It's not perfect, it's not flawless.
03:32
But it's also not like, I'll say it this way, I'm training Scout to better and better for all of us because when we get to the conference, Scout is going to help us all in ways that you guys aren't ready to think about yet. But I need to teach you how to use him. So that's what this is. This is the easiest, smallest step for you to just have a little chit chat with Scout and learn about the pre and post conference. And then you're going to learn more and you're going to learn how to use Scout. Scout is built on ChatGPT. Oversimplified chat. GPT is how we built Scout. So that means the defining technology on the planet is what I'm trying to teach you guys how to use.
04:14
And trust me, it will be very hard for you to stay in business in the next four years if you're not learning AI. So I'm trying to help you all stay in business by making it really fun and cute to learn more about the pre conference classes. And then I'm going to add even more value and keep doing what we here do, which is provide value and give resources so you can get Better at helping people. So obviously more HTLive365AI bots are coming. Some of those very soon, including our biggest one ever. And yeah, please go use Scout. It's going to be. It's just. You need to. It's go use Scout and talk to him about. Chat with him. Chit chat, ask follow up questions. Say, hey, how do I use you? How do I use you?
05:02
Is a great thing to say to Scout. What should I do here or what else do I need to know? Just ask Scout. It knows it can help you go do that. It's fun. It's not perfect. It's fun. It's not intimidating. It gets things wrong. Be comfortable with it. You're smarter than it is. Don't be scared. It's helpful. Great. That's Scout. So that's that. Bringing it all back around though. We need to talk about the thing many of you want to hear about, which is the schedule and presenters. So we're almost done. It's a lot, guys. It was 730something total talks that we're filing down. Cool. We're doing that. We're making progress. We're close. Contracts are going to go out next week so we're going to send out all the contracts next week to returning and first timers.
05:55
We need those back as soon as we can so that we can try to get the schedule actually made by Christmas so you guys can see the schedule before prices go up. But next week you're going to start hearing people posting, hey, I'm speaking at hypnothoughts Live, which is great, we love it. People are going to start posting, hey, I'm going to be speaking at the conference on this topic or that topic. That's going to be fun. One of the reasons we did that in a different order this year than previous years is because we wanted to have pre and post conference really get the attention last week and this week and that's why we're doing that next week we will get all returning and first timers will get their contracts. Let me talk to you about first timers for a second.
06:33
The first thing about first timers that you guys need to know is there are fewer than previous years and that's by design. And you'll understand why. Normally we do about 20% first timers and that's what we've done every year. We said 20% of our presenters will be first timers. This year it's like 16% and that's on purpose because what we've done is made a really simple but fundamental shift to how we're doing first timers. Because last year what we did is we had a room that had first timers in it all the time and it was just the dedicated first timers room. And that meant that there was always a first timer going up against Freddy Jackman and Melissa Tears and David Snyder and whoever and Shelley Stockman, all the exciting people.
07:19
And there's like there's 40 of you whose name I should have said there instead of those people. That's not the point. The point is not the names. The point is this first timer is a relatively unknown going up against a well known and that means that person doesn't get as fair a shake as I would like to give them. So here's what we did. We took that room and we pulled it and rotated at 90 degrees and stuck it in right before lunch. So we have 11 rooms. We'll have 11 first timers a day right before lunch giving their 20 minute talk. 11 times 3 is 33. We had 206 applications for first timers. When you talk about the number of talks, 206 turned into 33. So if you did not get a talk as a first time presenter, you are in great company.
08:08
Also, if you did not get a talk as a first timer, there's two things you need to know. The first thing is next week we will also be letting people know if they are a first alternate. We are going to create one row of first alternates, not 33 first alternatives. That's too many. But we'll have a chunk of first alternates as well. That we'll lose some people and we'll put them in. We will notify you in advance if you don't get one of those notifications. Okay, the next thing I'm going to say to first time presenters, some of you are really experienced and very successful and I am humbled and grateful that you would apply to be a first time presenter and sort of subject yourself to that. Thank you. It's really cool. Some of you aren't ready to present yet. Guys, it's okay.
08:57
Some of you are less than two years into seeing clients and that's okay. And you're excited and that's great. But we don't need to rush to share because sharing and presenting isn't more important or better than just being there. So let's pump the brakes on that ambition and really just focus on being a community and knowing that everyone's going to get a turn eventually. And to those of you that are chomping at the bit. I love that and I want to work with you on that. In fact, there are a few of this. I won't say his name, I will embarrass him and this is a good news for him. He's going to be excited. He doesn't know this.
09:38
Two years ago we had a first time presenter who got a, I think it was panel back then, it might have been the first time, whatever it was. And we gave him a shot and we did good. He wasn't quite ready to fly alone and get an hour. So last year we didn't give him a talk. And that guy showed up and was a volunteer by the way. That guy's wife showed up and was a volunteer too. They're lovely. And he's coming back as a full presenter this year and I'm not doing it because he was a volunteer. I'm doing it because I checked around and talked to people who know and this guy's been doing work in the last two years and I talked to him last year about the progress he's been making.
10:18
And this might sound condescending to say I'm proud of him, but I am proud of him. But more importantly, he's doing it right. He showed up, had enthusiasm, had excitement, overreached a little bit, but only a little bit. Not a good place. We said, hey, you need to get some miles before you're ready to share. So he went and got those miles and he's doing great. And I want to encourage that more in first time presenters. I want people to be not teaching based on their enthusiasm. I want people to be teaching based on their experiences and their successes. And the year knows a lot of things a day can't consider.
10:57
And so just want to say that to you guys because I know just statistically there's going to be a lot of disappointed people and I know that we got some of these wrong and we did our best and we're doing our best. We're not done. But we're going to be wrong about a few of these first timers and returning. We're just, we're going to do our best and it's just me and Stephanie doing the best we can with the information we have to put together the best conference that we think is going to help you help more people. And we're doing it again obviously and I think you're going to be really happy with it. So go to the website htlive.net check out the pre and post conference.
11:37
They're really good if you have questions about them or even if you don't talk to Scout about pre and post conference. Now this is an easy. I've made it very Fisher Price, my first chatbot round. Plastic corners. The knives are made of plastic. Like I've made this cute and easy for you. Please go use it. If you're intimidated, use it. Definitely go use it. It won't be scary. Once you say, hey, what is this and how do I use you? It will answer that question for you. Go use Scout. Next week we're going to start sending those contracts out. Be ready, be looking. And you're going to start seeing people announcing it, too. This video got a little long, but there was so much to say. I love you all and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. See you in the next one.
