Oh, hey, everybody. I live where it rains. So we're gonna do this video in the rain, and it's like one of those YouTube Moment of Zen things, kind of wherever I go. It's neat. I love it here. It's fun. We'll see how I feel in January. But so far, so good. Thanks for asking. That is not what this video is about, though. This video is about your application to speak at hypnothoughts Live and what we've done about it so far and what we're about to do about it. Cool. Cool. Okay, some. Not all, some of the acceptance letters are about to go out for speaker applications at HypnoThoughts LIVE 2026. Let me show my work. All right. Also share this video so that other people don't freak out, because here's what's about to happen.
00:43
Like, half the speaker applications, maybe like two thirds really, of the returning presenters are about to get acceptance letters, but not all. Okay, I'm going to explain all this in a second, but first, let me say thank you. Before I go any further, I just want to say on behalf of Stephanie and I, thank you. We've been reading all your applications for a little while now. We didn't wait until Halloween to start reading them. We've been reading them. There's just too many, which is a wonderful problem that I'm grateful for. So many of you want to be part of this community and so many of you are eager to share, and this is the time of year where we get to be really grateful for that.
01:27
So I want to extend that gratitude to all of you, whether you are a veteran who's got a full practice and you are a busy, successful practitioner who takes time out of helping people to share what you've learned along the way with the rest of us. Thank you. If you are one of the, check this out, 166 people that have asked to present @HypnoThoughts live for the very first time. Thank you for your enthusiasm to be part of our community and to co educate and co train and co facilitate helping others and like this thing that we're all kind of co educating. Thanks to the 166 of you who want to join the fray and be part of that side of the community. Thank you. And everyone in between. It's just such a cool thing and it's a lot to go through.
02:38
I'll probably do a video on thoughts on it more completely later because it inspires a lot of thoughts when you get just that much content from such a wide variety of your colleagues. It's an interesting position Stephanie and I find ourselves in. And so yeah, I'm just sort of reflective on that. I'm also brain dead because Stephanie and I have been in a full sprint doing this for the last couple days and we are mostly done with returning presenters. Here's what that means. Some of you already know this. The first thing we do is we break it into two groups, returning and first time presenters. Because you have to do less homework with returning people, especially the ones that have come like 3, 4, 5, 6, 12 times. We know what we're getting when Carl Smith shows up. For better or worse.
03:27
Yeah, and, but so we do those ones first, then we go and do the first time presenter. So the 166 of you, we haven't even really begun to look because we go through social media feeds and websites and, and, and so that's going to take more time. So here's what we're doing. I'm leaving for the UK conference next week. We want to get all this stuff out before I go and we want to make sure we're answering any questions, et cetera. So we are about to push out half to two thirds of the acceptance letters. It's a rough number. I don't know the exact number. I only have the 166 in my head. Okay, which half? The best half, Our favorite half. Just the people we like. No, we're going through a spreadsheet top to bottom.
04:21
We, we have hit the filter button and reorganized it by new and returning and then a couple other things. So I don't remember how it's organized but I'm sure it's not alphabetical and I don't think it's by when you turned in your applications. This is just the truth. Like it's just really how we do things. We're just going down the spreadsheet and the people that we know are a lock. Great. And then there's other people that need to go through a second round and there are some people we haven't even gotten to yet. So all this to say there are people we have not even read yet, there are people we have not decided on yet.
05:06
And then there's like the half that we're sending out right now that we've decided on so far and then we're going to finish that and then we're going to do first timers and we've got a lot to get through in the next week. So you can see why we're just kind of batch processing these as we get to this point. So those are going out. Like I said, share this video so people know that when you see people saying, I just got accepted to speak at hypnothoughts Live, that doesn't mean you didn't. Cool. Does that make sense? Great. Also, you are not a speaker at hypnothoughts Live until you turn in the contract. Let me say that a whole bunch of people, like, go on social media. I've been selected to speak. And then they never fill out the contract.
05:56
Like, just docusign the thing or whatever. Not doc. You get it. Just fill the thing out and pay the $200 because it's $200 because you're paying for your food this year, because our food costs have gone up so much, we need to. We need to share that with everybody. Otherwise we'd be charging attendees a lot more and then there'd be fewer of them and they wouldn't be at your talk. So we're all going to be equals and we're all going to pull our weight and we're grateful to you guys for the way you've responded to that. It's an adjustment that we've made over the years. And so cool.
06:32
We're grateful to all of you and we're brain dead and dumb and so, yeah, I'm just going to go turn around and watch my, like, YouTube moment of Zen and we will be in touch next week when we get the next batch out. Thanks and see you later.
