Hey, everybody, it's Scott Sandland. I got my hair cut, so I look okay in selfies with you. That's how close we are to hypnothoughts Live. But first, we got some stuff to cover. I'm gonna hit a little bit of kind of bad news and then some good news. And the bad news is it's two things. One is a very obvious one, which is our room rate. Our room discount is over. Like, so if you want to book your hotel room now, you're gonna pay the full Sahara rate. You won't get the discount rate for being part of our conference. There is literally nothing we can do about that. Been completely controlled by the booking of the hotel, which is a completely different large company. And we have a contract with them that got us to a certain date and we told you guys.

And this happens every year. And every year there's a couple people who are bummed and we get it, but sorry, nothing we can do about it. Cool. Next thing, in a much more globally applicable, widespread thing. Stephanie and I have been having so many conversations this year, especially in the last month or so, with people who love Hypnothost Live, who can't come this year, who've been supporters of ours and friends of ours for years and years, who can't come because of economics, because of logistics, because of just interesting life opportunities, because of politics, socioeconomics, all sorts of things. And there are people who are really bummed that they can't be with our tribe this year. And I get it. I really do. And what I'd like to do is reduce the FOMO for them. And here's how we're going to do that.

We're going to have a contest, and I'll explain the contest. But before I explain the contests, I want to explain a little bit of the why. Because I think it'll help. Because many of you think of this like the skip intro on a Netflix series. If you've watched every episode, you don't need to hear this, but some of you totally need to hear this. It'll be fast. Some of you guys don't know what the industry used to be like. You know, I've been in here for 27 years. Ish. It used to be much more clicky and a lot more backstabby and competitive is probably the word I'm looking for. And the industry has gotten a lot less competitive and a lot more supportive and cooperative in the last decade. It's really cool. Like the last 15 years, the industry has grown up a lot.

And hypnothoughts has been part of that. I think that it's fair to say, you know, were right place, right time with the technology and we built the MySpace for hypnotists. Before Hypnothoughts Live was a conference, were a community. And that's the thing I want to share with you. People think, oh, I want to be part of the community. It's such a bummer that I can't be there and be part of the tribe and be connected. And I want you guys to understand that were connected before were in person. We were connected online through desire to help people, through a shared interest and curiosity in the subconscious and hypnotherapy and all these things. We already were connected. And the conference does a lot of really cool things for ratifying that in person. And I obviously get that. But I want to just take a minute.

For those of you who wish you could be here or there, who wish you could come, and whether you're an American or not, there's people from all over who wish they could be in Vegas with us who aren't going to be able to. So a few things. Number one, we're going to have anti FOMO challenge for you guys. So you guys get to feel connected and actually be connected, accurately feel connected. And here's how this is going to work. Whether you've been to the conference before or not, you can play. And it's just the best advice or the best request. Either one works. And maybe like Richard Barker came to the conference quite a few times, but now, because he's on cruise ships, this scheduling just hasn't worked for years.

And we've checked and talked and all that Richard Barker could post and be part of this contest and he could say, hey, love you guys. Wish I could be there. One piece of advice I would give a new attendee is X. Or if you're a presenter, hypnothoughts Live, make sure you. Yes. Or if you are a whatever, a vendor, make sure you abc whatever it is, just give a piece of advice or maybe say, wish I could be there. If I was, I would definitely do this. So now we have advice and wishes, advices and wishes and then what I'd like you guys to do. And the winner, whoever puts in the best advice and the best wish will get a free year of HT Live 365. And that means logically grouped audio recordings of hypnothoughts live lectures.

So, like all the Stuff on working with teens or working with athletes or working with weight loss or, you know, like thematic groupings of a bunch, you know, hundreds of audios of the recordings from Hypno Thoughts Live. And that's a growing library as we put together new groupings, monthly advice from presenters that are curated on topic, and other stuff. And there's going to be some new stuff coming. So you get a year of that for free, just for putting in your wish or advice for people who are going to be at the conference if you can't be. And for those of you who are going to be at the conference, you get to be in that same contest. I'm going to give your own contest later, but you get to be in this one too.

And to help support the people who can't be there, you take a selfie of you doing the thing they wished. And if the whichever thing wins, both people win. Does that make sense? So if you are at the conference and you take a selfie of you doing the other person's wish and that is the thing that wins, both people win. Does that make sense? Lots of winners, lots of people getting free membership to 365. Because it matters to me that we have a real community. And I love being a small part of what's happening in our industry and what's grown up out of the way it used to be. And I want to keep encouraging that.

And so I want us to make sure that we are reaching out to those who could use it and to those of us who feel a little bit more alone than they otherwise would. I would like them to feel a little bit less of that. So that's what we're going to do. We are also going to have a silly selfie challenge for the conference. So be ready for a silly selfie challenge. But that's a whole different thing. This is just the anti FOMO for especially the people who can't be at the conference. But I want people who are going to be at the conference to read it. And that's why everybody gets to share. And I can't wait to see you guys. I really, I look forward to this so much. I know so many of you do as well.
