Client Centered Parts Therapy

Tuesday & Wednesday,
August 29-30

Course Description

How often do clients have inner conflicts regarding goals? And what about the client who has already tried hypnosis to overcome a habit, but backslid afterwards? Client Centered Parts Therapy helps clients resolve inner conflicts. It is based on the work of Charles Tebbetts, updated over the years by Roy Hunter, who has taught parts therapy in 20 countries in the last decade. This workshop overviews the variations and presents a step by step process for facilitating parts therapy to help clients resolve inner conflicts. Often parts therapy helps clients even after other techniques have failed. Learn when parts therapy is indicated, and how to effectively employ it. Bruce Eimer, PhD, ABPP, will be a co-presenter and add his expertise using parts therapy effectively with chronic pain patients.

Roy Hunter was certified as a hypnotherapist by Charles Tebbetts in 1983, and started a practice in the Seattle/Tacoma area. He started teaching his mentor’s 9-month professional hypnosis course in 1987 at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, Washington (USA); and has taught classes and workshops over the years in 20 different countries. Although recognized for his work with parts therapy, Roy teaches courses and gives presentations on other topics as well.

He is the published author of a number of books that come highly praised, including two hypnosis texts based on the work of Charles Tebbetts that are either recommended or required reading at many hypnosis schools around the world. His latest book on spiritual hypnosis was co-authored by over two dozen highly respected hypnotherapists from around the world.
Roy is also well-known for his workshops on parts therapy and hypnotic regression therapy, which are approved for CE credits for psychologists in America as a result of his association with Bruce Eimer. (The Behavior Therapy Center, P.C. & Bruce Eimer are approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Behavior Therapy Center, P.C. & Bruce Eimer maintain responsibility for this program and its content. Roy Hunter is an approved presenter.)

Roy has received numerous awards through the years, and was recognized for lifetime achievement by three different organizations. He is a Life Diplomate of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA), and also a Diplomate of the Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP).
