An Ayruvedic Perspective on Mind/Body Connection
This short 1-hour talk is to introduce you to the Ayurvedic perspective of mind/body health and getting a better mind/body/behavior understanding of your client so you can help them better. Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old health system that looks at the mind/body connection holistically. Ayurvedic perspective says that our body constitution is made up of nature elements air, either, fire, water, and earth. When put together these elements form Doshas. Doshas are what makes us who we are. There are three doshas. Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Each of these Doshas can explain how a client thinks, acts and behaves. Along with our body constitution, we have three different mind constitutions. Rajas, Tamas, and Sattva. Rajas is the monkey mind, Tamas is the depressed mind and Satva is the harmonious mind. By incorporating this knowledge in my hypnotherapy sessions, I’m able to get a better sense of how a client may receive the help they are seeking.
